JStar Debuts Artificial Intelligence Platform For Smart Home Control

JStar will begin shipping its whole home artificial intelligence platform,, at CEDIA 2016.

Built for the custom integration channel, uses artificial intelligence to unify home technology through its unique user interface. is a standalone control system that works with Lutron, Meridian, Sonos, and others. It also integrates with control systems such as Crestron.

No custom programming is needed, making the install among the fastest in the industry.

The company was founded in 2015 by Alex Capecelatro and chief technology officer Tim Gill. The AI behind is the culmination of 5 years of research and development in natural language processing.

Previously Gill was founder and chair of Quark. Capecelatro started his career as a research scientist for NASA and recently exited as founder and CEO of social mobile products At the Pool and Yeti.
