J&R Launches Trade-In Program

New York – J&R Music and Computer World, which was renamed
J&R, has launched a trade-in and upgrade service for pre-owned CE.

The turnkey program, managed by NextWorth, will allow
customers of the New York-based A/V specialty dealer to trade in old devices
online or in store for credit toward new purchases.

In-store shoppers will receive a J&R gift card for the
value of their used cell phones, iPhones, iPods, iPads, digital cameras,
tablets, e-readers, Nintendo DS units and video games.

Online shoppers can trade in a broader selection of products
that extends to laptops, game consoles and GPS devices. Customers trading in
online must answer a few short questions about the device to receive an
estimated trade-in value. A free, fully insured UPS shipping label is provided
and once the product is received and the value is confirmed, customers will be
sent a J&R gift card for the pre-determined value.

Customers can receive up to $350 for an iPad 2, upwards of
$180 for an iPhone 4, and as much as $115 for an iPod Touch.

“Giving our customers the opportunity to trade in and trade
up in one convenient location is a natural extension of J&R’s renowned
customer service,” said Rachelle Friedman, co-CEO of J&R. “Providing our
customers with greater value and purchasing power for the latest and greatest
in electronics is what J&R is all about. We are very pleased to be
partnering with NextWorth in this important service that benefits everyone,
from the consumer, to the vendors, to our environment.”
