Jondo Launches SnapBox Photo Canvas Service

Anaheim, Calif. – Jondo-USA said Tuesday it is launching an inexpensive framed canvas smartphone photo printing service in partnership with Bartell Drugs in the Pacific North West and RiteAide and CVS Drug Stores across the country.

Called SnapBox, the service will provide photographers who use virtually any form of digital camera including smartphones framed museum quality prints.

Washington State based Bartell Drugs, RiteAide and CVS will be using an “EZWay” Web-based service to enable photographers to create and order a personalized photo product, available at all 12,000 store locations beginning October 16.

The EZWay website is equipped with basic photo editing tools to help tweak and customize images to get them ready for printing.

Every print is further optimized for enlargement with special software back in the finishing center and previewed by a human to ensure the quality will be up to the customer’s satisfaction. The service also provides a 100 percent money back guarantee.

SnapBox produces gallery-wrapped canvas prints in an all-wood floating frame that is ready to hang on a wall or display on a desk, mantle or bookshelf.

The service presents five sizes, including two square sizes suitable for Instagram photos.

With the introduction of EZWay printing in association with Bartell Drugs, for example, shoppers can email any photo from any smartphone, tablet or PC to [email protected] to order in minutes.

Similar email addresses are available for RiteAide and CVS pickups, as well.

Shipping is free to any of the store locations, where the customer can pick up and pay for the finished prints.

Jondo USA said holiday prices start at under $10 (under a holiday launch promotional price).  Orders are produced and shipped from Jondo-USA’s Woodinville, Wash. facility, ensuring delivery in a few days.

There are five print sizes including 5-by-7, 5-by-5, 8-by-10, 9-by-9, and 10-by-13. Prices range from $13.99 to $34.99.

Jondo USA is in the consumer wall décor business, which prior to launching SnapBox had offered primarily large format canvas photo prints through such national retail chains as Costco.

In recent years, canvas photo printing has been one of the hottest segments of the photo output business.

“Retailers in particular have been in search of exciting new products that consumers love,” said Frank Baillargeon, Jondo USA CEO. “We think there are a lot of opportunities beyond traditional photo retailers who are excited about new possibilities. The consumer electronics and office superstore channels among them.”
