Bushnell, Fla. — Gerard (Jerry) E. Sarvis, 73, a CE industry veteran and founder of GES Distributors, died on March 22.

His business career began with Motorola. He later joined Sylvania, Sony and Pioneer Electronics as a manufacturer’s representative in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast markets.

After relocating to Florida, he founded GES Distributors, a wholesale distribution company representing manufacturers that included Pioneer Electronics, Toshiba, Hitachi, Sharp, Audiovox, Fedders and Gibson.
