Jeff Joseph To Leave CEA

Arlington, Va. – Jeff Joseph, communications and strategic relations VP for the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has resigned effective Aug. 30.

Joseph, who has been with CEA for eight years, will be joining the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO).

At CEA, Joseph managed the communications department, served as spokesperson on numerous issues and was responsible for CEA’s media and public affairs strategies. During his tenure, Joseph built an effective and successful communications team and has been instrumental in many of the most hotly debated technology issues in decades, including the transition to digital television, intellectual property and environmental policy. Under Joseph’s leadership media attendance at International CES has grown and he successfully showcased, positioned and communicated the vast public policy, strategic, international and membership efforts undertaken by CEA each year, the association said.

“Jeff is an incredibly effective communications professional. He is passionate, honest, warm, quick and has an endless desire to make a difference,” said CEA President and CEO Gary Shapiro. “His love of our industry, its products and people comes through everyday. I will remember Jeff’s tenure at CEA as one filled with passion, fervor, accomplishments and success. Our team at CEA will miss him.”
