JBL Builds New Studio

Woodbury, N.Y. – An all-new mainstream Studio series of component speakers launched by JBL has been completely restyled and redesigned to improve cabinet construction, deliver more wall-mounting options, and reproduce sound out to 40kHz though am ultrahigh-frequency driver that complements a more traditional tweeter.

The new Studio L series, which replaces the Studio Mark II series, comprises eight SKUs ranging from as suggested $550 to $1,398/pair. The series includes a four-way tower at $699 each, two slim wall-mountable four-way bookshelf speakers at $550 and $550 per pair, a wall-mountable four-way center channel at $499 each, and the 600-watt powered subwoofer at $999 each. The two bookshelf and center-channel models come with removable keyhole-type wall-mount brackets.

The series also includes a three-way bookshelf model at $650/pair, another four-way tower at $699 each, and a three-way center channel a4 $399 each. All models ship in the summer.

All cabinets feature rounded edges, thicker walls, and top-to-bottom figure-eight internal bracing.
