Augusta, Ga.
– Jay Penney, who was Frigidaire’s and Electrolux’s longtime sales link to
independent dealers and distributors, is leaving the company.
Penney chose to
remain here at Electrolux’s former headquarters town rather than relocate to
new corporate facilities in Charlotte,
N.C., this summer.
Succeeding him is
Rick Hill, who was promoted to sales VP with responsibility for dealer, distributor
and regional account sales. Hill has held various dealer sales management
positions at Electrolux for more than 20 years.
In his new role,
Hill reports to newly promoted executive sales VP Lee Heldt, who was formerly
responsible for national accounts and given added responsibility for major
appliance sales across North America.
Penney will work
closely with Hill and Heldt to assure a smooth transition as the company
relocates this summer, Electrolux said.
