Jawbone Names Mount President

San Francisco — Jawbone, the headphone and wireless speaker company, has appointed Mindy Mount as president, a new position.

Mount was most recently corporate VP and chief financial officer of Microsoft’s online services division.

A spokesman for Jawbone told TWICE that the appointment was related to the company’s “rapid growth.” In February, Jawbone acquired Visere, a digital design firm, and Massive Health, makers of the Eatery app. It then acquired BodyMedia, a manufacturer of wearable body monitors, in April.

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer joined Jawbone’s board of directors in May, as did Robert Wiesenthal, COO of Warner Music Group.

Hosain Rahman, Jawbone CEO, said in a statement: “Mindy’s extensive expertise in scaling companies, driving smart growth, and strategic business development for consumer devices and services is highly valued as we enter new categories, and expand into new markets in very big ways.”

Mount has also held positions at AOL UK and Time Warner.
