Beijing -Jaguar is
unveiling its XJ Ultimate at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show this week, fitted with
a Meridian surround sound system.
The XJ Ultimate is the
top-of-the-line version of Jaguar’s XJ sedan. The system features 15 channels
of amplification and 20 loudspeakers strategically positioned throughout the
cabin.
According to Meridian,
its digital signal processing (DSP) technologies allows every person in car to
have the same musical experience by placing them at the center of the sound
field. This is done with the company’s Trifield technology, said to create an
all-enveloping sound field.
The XJ Ultimate and
Meridian system will be available in the U.S. in 2013.
