Jacobs Selected To Be President Of Klipsch Audio

Klipsch Audio Technologies named Paul Jacobs, executive VP/COO of the company’s worldwide products group, to become president, effective Jan. 1, when he will assume responsibility for all company operations.

Mike Klipsch, who becomes executive VP/COO of Klipsch’s worldwide manufacturing and supply management group, takes over Jacob’s previous position.

In his new position, Jacobs will assume some of the management responsibilities of chairman and owner Fred Klipsch.

As executive VP/COO of the worldwide products group for the past three years, Jacobs was responsible for the overall direction of the company’s sales, marketing, engineering and product development functions. (Check his comments on the overall state of the audio industry in the TWICE Audio Roundtable that begins on p. 16.)

Before that, he held several positions at Klipsch, including executive VP and worldwide sales VP. He first joined Klipsch as a manufacturer’s representative in 1991 after having served as sales manager for Lyons & Associates, a consumer electronics rep firm, and regional sales manager for Fretter Appliance.
