SALZBURG, AUSTRIA — iRoom, the European supplier of motorized, in-wall iPad docks, has established a U.S.-based sales division and begun offering its product line in North America.
The North American division will be lead by president Chris Lehnen.
iRoom’s iDock features a proprietary motorized, charging docking system that opens and closes to securely store an iPad or iPad Mini in a wall. When the iPad is docked, it can be used for control of installed smart-home and environment applications and A/V streaming, or as digital signage.
iRoom called it “an elegant solution for in-wall docking and control in private homes, hotels, yachts, restaurants, hospitals, boardrooms, retail spaces and more.”
The standard colors of iRooms’s iDock are black and white, but faceplates are available in anodized aluminum and glass, which are magnetically mounted. To meet custom design needs, the iDock can be made to order in almost any color, the company said.
