With its iDL45 docking speaker, iHome developed an all-in-one product that appeals to owners of older and newer generations of Apple mobile devices.
The iDL45 docking clock radio has something for all Apple-device aficionados. Owners of the iPhone 5, seventh-generation iPod Nano, fifth-generation iPod Touch, iPad Mini and fourth-generation iPad get an all-digital eight-pin Lightning connector to charge their device and play back music from it. Owners of older Apple mobile devices get a Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad USB port to play and charge older Apple devices connected via 30-pintoUSB cable, though the docking speaker also charges and plays the newer Apple devices.
The docking FM-radio/alarm clock also features an analog auxiliary input for use with other brands of music-laden mobile devices.
Other key features, said a spokesman, include SRS Tru bass to enhance bass response, separate bass and treble controls, Reson8 sound technology, and dual alarms, which let two separate users wake up to either of two connected Apple devices, FM radio, or buzzer. An auto sync feature automatically syncs the iDL45’s clock to the clock of an iPhone. The 7.5.2 alarm settings let users set wake times for a full seven-day week, Monday through Friday, or weekends. An app lets users set different wake times to alarm sources. It also features six FM presets.
