New York
– Accessories manufacturers continued their iPad-bandwagon hopping with a steady
rollout of cases for the latest Apple darling.

NLU Products

began shipping its ScreenGuardz Total
Protection Pack for the tablet computer. The company bundled its ScreenGuardz
HD Anti-Glare polymer material with the BodyGuardz scratch-proof, transparent
urethane film for the body of the device. Suggested retail for the set is
$34.95. A cleaning cloth is included.

NLU is also offering a screen-only ScreenGuardz HD Anti-Glare for
the iPad ($19.95), as well as BodyGuardz full-body ($29.95), screen-only
($19.95) and back-only ($24.95) films.

Newer Technology

recently took the wraps off its line of
four cases and screen accessories, including NuGuard silicone case ($17.99),
offered in six colors; NuGuard hard-shell polycarbonate case ($24.99), in clear
or black leather; and NuVue screen protector and privacy screen ($39.99). It
also introduced a $9.99 NuVue screen protector.

All of NewerTech’s iPad accessories are available for pre-order
from Other World Computing, the company’s distributor. Products will begin
shipping April 9, according to NewerTech.

NewerTech also recently announced the iFolio, billed as a custom
handcrafted iPad carrying/protection case. It’s constructed of Brazilian
leather and comes in red or black. Price will be listed at $129, with an
introductory price of $99.99 from OWC. All pre-orders and regular orders will
begin shipping April 5, NewerTech said.

Zagg

began shipping its InvisibleShield design for the
iPad, which is a “military-grade” film that protects again scratches and has
fingerprint resistance. The full-body InvisibleShield has a $39.99 suggested
retail; the front- or back-only versions are $29.99.

Hard Candy Cases

began shipping its line of zippered
EVA-foam protective sleeves, known as Bubble sleeves.

“We wanted to create a case that had more style and protection
than the typical neoprene sleeve,” said Tim Hickman, Hard Candy Cases CEO, in a
statement.  “We took it a step further by
custom molding rubber feet inside the case that add two to three times the drop
protection, and which allowed us to start manufacturing the casing earlier.

Features include
shock-absorbing fitted rubber bumpers and a padded interior lining. Suggested
retail is $49.95. The sleeves come in three colors: black, green and pink.
