Ingram Micro CE, Panasonic Sign Deal

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Ingram Micro’s consumer electronics division
(IMCE) has signed a distribution agreement with Panasonic Consumer
Electronics.

The distributor said the agreement, which began July 18, expands
IMCE’s home-theater product line and will enable it to carry the full line of
Panasonic’s flat-panel displays, home audio sound systems and accessories,
including its Viera series of 3D LED LCD TVs,

The introduction of Panasonic’s line of TVs and home-theater
components adds a valuable price point to IMCE’s home theater segment, the
company said. Tim Coakley, merchandising and vendor management VP, said, “Panasonic
brings over 50 years of innovation and award-winning electronics to our home
theater line card.  This partnership is a
result of IMCE’s initiative to provide our customers an increased selection of
high-quality electronics at an affordable price.”
