IMCE To Carry Hisense Smart-TV Line

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. — Ingram Micro’s Consumer Electronics Division (IMCE) has signed an agreement to carry Hisense USA’s line of smart TVs.

IMCE said by May 19 Hisense models from both its commercial and retail line of LED HDTVs, including selected models from the Hisense H6 series, will be available. Besides web-based features such as Netflix, Amazon Instant Video and YouTube, the H6 allows for connectivity and interactivity with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, USB and the Google Chrome browser, the distributor said.

The H6 supports screen sharing, enabling pictures, videos and music to be simply shared right to the TV screen from most mobile devices. It also features Merlin, a 30-button innovative remote control with the most sophisticated built-in air mouse technology, a pop up virtual keyboard and natural voice control, according to IMCE.

Alexandra Harding, vendor management director for IMCE, said in a statement, “The partnership between Hisense and IMCE not only strengthens the IMCE home-theater product segment, but also solidifies IMCE as the single source for resellers to expand and diversify their product offering with the best that the industry has to offer.”

Peter Erdman, CE sales VP with Hisense USA, said the company “is very pleased to partner with an established distributor such as IMCE as we set out to further develop our retail footprint in the U.S. market. We take pride in providing the most advanced entertainment technology solutions, and are confident that this partnership demonstrates our long-term commitment to national growth.”

The Hisense TVs will be available May 19 through IMCE’s website at IMCE.com or by contacting a sales associate at (800) 733-6766, the distributor said.
