Imation Adds To NPower Tween Electronics Lines

Oakdale, Minn. — Imation announced the retail availability of its latest lines of Nickelodeon’s NPower brand of small electronics for tweens.

The line features products bearing the likenesses of characters from Nickelodeon television shows such as “Dora the Explorer,” “Go, Diego, Go!,” “iCarly” and “SpongeBob SquarePants”.

The line includes, among other things, digital video and still cameras, Web cams, a video Karaoke system, digital photo viewers, boomboxes, MP3 players, portable speakers and a digital voice recorder.

“Personal electronics are going to be on every kid’s wish list this holiday season,” said Steve Moss, chief marketing officer, Imation. “Parents shopping for their young tech aficionados will be pleased to find Npower devices that combine sophisticated, fun technical features with kid-friendly functionality to entertain and capture their imaginations — at affordable prices.”

Highlights of the line include the iCarly digital video camera. The camera features onboard memory to store more than 100 minutes of video and includes an SD/MMC memory card slot. It has a suggested retail of $79.99.

The camera is shipped with an iCarly Digital Diary program that includes video and photo editing software. The software comes with a one-click option to send edited photos and video projects directly to the iCarly.com Web site for a chance to be used in a future episode.

An available acccessory kit includes a tabletop mount, a steady-cam on-the-go holder with soft grip handles, mounted LED lighting and a detachable microphone. It has a suggested retail of $24.99.

Also available is the iCarly Karaoke system featuring a 5-inch black-and-white monitor to display lyrics. A built-in camera and video and audio input/output lets singers capture their full performance for display on the monitor or on a TV. It has a dual microphone input and features enhanced vocal effects with balance and echo controls. It ships with one microphone for $99.99.

Other iCarly products include: a Web cam ($24.99); a digital still camera with 8MB of onboard memory ($19.99 — both ship with the Digital Diary software); the iCarly micro photo viewer portable digital photo album with 1.4-inch color display ($24.99); the iCarly micro MP3 player, a clip-on style digital music player that comes preloaded with a sample of iCarly’s new single, “Leave it All to Me,” and includes 1GB of built-in memory ($29.99); an iCarly travel speaker case for digital audio players ($29.99); the iCarly Secret Message Keeper voice recorder with 4MB of built-in memory and file-management system ($29.99); and the top-loading iCarly portable AM/FM/CD boombox that also plays music from iPods and other MP3 players through its aux-in jack ($39.99).

The digital camera is also available in SpongeBob SquarePants designs with Npower photo-editing tools.

Other SpongeBob products include the Flip Stand digital photo frame with 2MB of flash memory ($24.99); a micro MP3 player ($29.99); and the Eyeball speaker dock, which features shimmering eyeballs speakers that wobble, rock and roll with music when placed on a flat surface. ($39.99.)

New NPower offerings also include Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! swing-style digital photo viewers ($24.99), and a CD Boombox with AM/FM radio in Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! designs ($49.99)

NPower’s iCarly line is available exclusively through Toys “R” Us stores and its Web site through December. The SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! lines are available now at Toys “R” Us, Target, Sears, Kmart, Walmart.com, Best Buy and Nick Shops.
