White Plains, N.Y. — The International Imaging Industry Association (I3A) has added seven new members to its ranks, including Microsoft and Research in Motion.
The non-profit I3A is working on several initiatives that lured the new members, the association said. It is working to develop a set of image-quality testing metrics for camera phones and it runs the SaveMyMemories.org Web site to educate consumers on how to preserve their digital images.
The new members also include Marvell, Zoran, Advasense, Genius Electronic Optical and the Independent Photo Imagers buying group.
