Englewood Cliffs, N.J. — LG Electronics named company veteran Teddy Hwang president of LG Electronics USA, effective Jan. 1.
Hwang will report to Michael Ahn, president and CEO of LG Electronics North America. Prior to Hwang’s appointment Ahn had headed LG Electronics USA in addition to his other duties.
The company said Hwang will oversee divisional operation activities, while Ahn focuses his efforts on strategic issues. Ki Kwon, U.S. consumer electronics brand division president, and John Herrington, president of LG’s U.S. digital appliance brand division, will report to Hwang.
Previously, Hwang was president of LG’s U.S. digital appliance brand division and president of the company’s U.S. OEM division.
