HTSA Adds Two New Members

Chester Springs, Pa. — Home Theater Specialists of America (HTSA) has added two new companies to its ranks, raising the membership of the specialty A/V buying group to 56.

The new additions are Pacific Sound and Video of Bismarck, N.D., and Audio Video Designs (AVD) of Newton, Mass.

Pacific Sound and Video started in 1977, opened its third store in 1993 and recently redesigned its 6,400-square-foot flagship store in Bismarck. Said company owner Jamie Stephens: “We are excited to share ideas with the most elite group of people in the industry to bring our markets to the next level.”

Audio Video Designs is a residential and commercial electronics contractor with 45 employees, 33 years of experience and sales of over $8 million in 2005. The company, with offices in Newton, Nantucket and Osterville, Mass., is an active member of CEDIA and has won numerous awards for design and engineering, including a 2005 Crestron Integration Award for “Total Home Technology Engineered Solution.” President Brad Smith stated, “The reason we are joining HTSA is the networking, and the additional money we will earn doesn’t hurt.”

“These two new members are wonderful additions,” said HTSA executive director Richard Glikes. “From the energy of Pacific and Jamie Stephens to the savvy and experience of Brad Smith and his organization, we know the fit is right for all parties. We blend custom and retail better than any organization in the industry.”
