Taoyuan, Taiwan – First-quarter revenues for smartphone maker HTC shot up
175 percent to NT$104.2 billion ($3.59 billion) compared with the year-ago
period, with operating income and net income after taxes posting even higher
percentage gains.
Operating income rose 192 percent
to NT$16.5 billion ($569.6 million), and net income after taxes rose 197
percent to NT$14.8 billion ($511.2 million.)
