Palo Alto, Calif. – Hewlett-Packard is expanding its HP Total Care technical support to include products outside their warranty date.
The company said consumers can receive online chat or email tech support free of charge for its PCs, printers, cameras and other consumer products. HP said its average response rate for an email request is about 10 minutes with 90 percent of all emails being answered with an hour. The real-time chat option has also grown in popularity the number of requests growing 140 percent year over year.
