Irvine, Calif. – Howard’s
Appliance and Flat Screen Superstores relocated its Santa Ana, Calif., store to
a 17,000-square-foot showroom here last week.
The new storefront had
formerly housed a Levitz Furniture store, the Orange County Register reported.
Howard’s was founded as a
radio repair shop in the back of a sporting goods store by chairman Howard
Roach in 1946. The 10-store chain placed
26th on TWICE’s Top 100 Major Appliance Retailers report last year with $67
million in majap sales, and ranked 95
th
on the CE charts with $24
million in electronics sales in 2010.
The La Habra,
Calif.-based retailer opened its 10
th
location in 2009.
