Newark Del. — HiFiMan has replaced its HE-500 planar magnetic headphones with the HE-560, said to be 30 percent lighter than its predecessor.
The HE-560 also features a redesigned headband that’s meant to be more comfortable, beveled ear pads and Teak ear cups. The single-ended drivers have an open back and a “modest-size” amplifier, the company said. A crystalline copper and crystalline silver cable is included.
Frequency response is listed at 15Hz to 50kHz with impedance of 35 Ohms and efficiency of 90dB/mW.
They will ship in May for an $899 suggested retail.
