hhgregg Opens Ohio Location, Eyes Pittsburgh

Indianapolis – hhgregg today announced the grand opening of a new location in Beavercreek, Ohio, this week and is looking to expand to Pittsburgh.
The new store, located at 2720 Town Drive, will replace hhgregg’s older location at 2500 N. Fairfield D-2. It will open on Jan. 20 at 10:00 a.m.
The new 32,530-square-foot store provides local residents with an updated shopping experience and offers the same knowledgeable sales staff to help customers make the best purchase decisions. Shoppers can browse through more than 500 brand-name appliances and electronics.
“The store’s new design will provide shoppers in the Beavercreek area with a modern, convenient shopping experience,” said Jeff Pearson, marketing VP, hhgregg. “We hope that shoppers will come into the store to see the new layout and take advantage of the grand opening specials.”
To celebrate the city’s newest location, all hhgregg stores located in the Dayton area will participate in a Grand Opening Sale from January 20-26. In addition, on Saturday, Jan. 22 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., hhgregg’s Beavercreek store will host Cincinnati Reds legend George Foster, five-time All-Star and member of Cincinnati’s “Big Red Machine” that led the league in home runs from 1977-78. Mr. Foster will be signing autographs and pose for pictures with fans during his appearance.
According to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, hhgregg expects to enter the Pittsburgh market by spring.
The paper quoted Dennis May, president and CEO, from an investment conference in California last week saying the plans to open stores in Miami by summer and Chicago in the fall.
Work has begun on putting stores in Cranberry, West Mifflin, Wilkins and North Fayette in Pennsylvania, according to township records. In addition, hhgregg has begun advertising for positions in the Pittsburgh market.
