Northbrook, Ill. — Roger Heuberger has left the Progressive Retailers Organization (PRO Group), the $2 billion buying group for specialty A/V dealers, which he had served as president, executive director, COO and CEO.
Heuberger’s departure after a decade at the helm was prompted by a contractual dispute according to PRO vice president and board member Walt Stinson, a principal of member dealer Listen Up. “Negotiations between Heuberger and the PRO board of directors broke down when the parties could not agree on mutually beneficial terms,” Stinson said.
PRO expects to announce a successor to Heuberger within several weeks and continues to maintain its headquarters here, where Jessica Paskon continues as office manager.
Heuberger can be contacted at (847) 530-4157 (mobile), (847) 564-5783 (home) and at [email protected].
Heuberger is the second chief executive to leave a major buying group within the past two months. His departure follows that of Warren Mann, formerly executive director of the MARTA Cooperative of America, who left his post in December.
