HES Adds 14 Members

Anaheim, Calif. — Home Entertainment Source (HES) has added 14 new members over the last four months.

The additions raise the membership of the BrandSource buying group division to more than 500 A/V specialty dealers and custom integrators nationwide.

“We believe that 2013 is going to be a record year for HES membership,” noted HES spokesman Andy Orozco, who said dealers are increasingly drawn to the group’s member programs, which help small businesses compete with big-box chains and online merchants. Programs include special financing, volume pricing, peer-to-peer networking and in-house distribution that allows members to pull small mixed-freight orders as needed from HES warehouses.

The 14 latest members include All Around Sound, Schereville, Ind.; Architectural Audio & Video, Naperville, Ill.; Audio, Etc., Dayton, Ohio; Audio Visions, Strongville, Ohio; Custom A/V, El Paso, Texas; Global Custom Integrations, Hawthorne, N.Y.; Innovative Objects, Duenweg, Mo.; Insight Home Solutions, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Intra Home Systems, Garfield, N.J.; Kozar Technologies, Eagle River, Wis.; Lunar Audio Video, Sayreville, N.J.; Redi Systems, Manhattan, Kan.; S & L Integrated Systems, Cairo, Ga.; and Southern Cinema Design, Cumming, Ga.

HES and its sister BrandSource division, the Progressive Retailers Organization (PRO Group), together comprise ProSource, a $3.1 billion, member-owned cooperative with more than 950 storefronts. ProSource describes itself as the largest specialty and consumer-electronics merchandising group in the U.S., which allows it to “negotiate stronger programs with manufacturers, helps independent retailers stay relevant to consumers, and keeps the specialty A/V channel competitive.”
