Hemler To Head Best Buy For Business

Minneapolis — Best Buy has promoted David Hemler, formerly sales and operations VP of Best Buy For Business, to the new position of president of the B to B unit.

In his new role, Hemler will lead the development and execution of strategies for delivering technology solutions to business, education and government customers. He will report to Darren Jackson, executive VP and chief financial officer for Best Buy.

“David’s passion for innovation and the positive impact that technology can deliver for organizations is truly inspiring,” said Jackson. “His enthusiasm for the potential of technology will be of great benefit as we grow the Best Buy for Business product and service capabilities to deliver simple, reliable and affordable technology solutions.”

Hemler joined Best Buy last year, overseeing the business group’s sales strategy and execution of retail and field channels. Before that he spent 11 years at Microsoft, including roles as a regional VP of the small mid-market solutions and partner group, and as president of Microsoft Canada. Before joining Microsoft, Hemler spent several years with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), specializing in retail and distribution systems.
