New York — Audio-Technica introduced a lineup of headphones today, including on-ear, over-ear and in-ear models.
The announcements included the following products: the ATH-ON3A ($59.99), ATH-ES3A ($79.99), ATH-FC700A ($99.99) and ATH-ES7 ($169) on-ear headphones; ATH-SQ5A ($149) over-ear headphones; and ATH-CK6A ($79.99), ATH-CKM50A ($79.99) and ATH-CK7A ($169) in-ear models. All are currently available.
According to the company, all of the headphones feature premium-quality drivers and extremely high sensitivity. The in-ear models include three sizes of ear tips.
Also recently announced in the headphone department was the Plane Quiet Platinum noise-reducing headset from Outside the Box.
Featuring a leatherette headband and ear cups, the Plane Quiet Platinum’s flat folding design is engineered for
travelers. Up to 80 percent of ambient noise is canceled, according to the company, and the headphones are said to have 40mm rare earth neodymium speaker drivers. Total weight measures in at a reported 5.12 ounces.
Noise cancellation is recorded up to 18db, between 150Hz to 400Hz, with impedance at 32 ohms. The frequency response is 20Hz to 20,000Hz, said Outside the Box Group.
Also included are a carrying case and gold-plated stereo pins and adapters for use in MP3 players, onboard airplane audio or notebook computers. Suggested retail is $99.95.
