Lyndhurst, N.J. – High-end audio and home theater retailer Harvey Electronics said net sales for the month ended June 23 increased 15.7 percent to $2.6 million, compared with $2.3 million in the same month last year.
For eight months, net sales jumped 12.8 percent to $26 million, up from $23 million in the same eight months of 2000.
Comp-store sales for June increased 1.1 percent, compared with the year-ago period. Comp-store sales for the eight months were up about 7.8 percent, compared with the same period last year.
Net sales for the first two months of Harvey’s fiscal third quarter were up about 14.9 percent from the same two months in 2000. Comp-store sales for the same two months jumped 2.3 percent.
The retailer said overall July sales to date have been strong.
