Portland, Ore. –– Grovemade today added two designs to its line of hand-crafted laser-cut American hardwood sleeves for Macbooks, iPads and the iPad Mini.
The two new sleeves are made of Eastern Hardrock maple and Oregon Black walnut. They feature laser-cut geometric contouring and are lined with premium German wool for scratch protection, the company said. They also include a leather and brass strap to remove the device from the sleeve.
The sleeves’ finishes are individually hand-sanded and oiled. They are available for the iPad Mini and iPad Mini with Retina Display for a $79 retail price, the iPad Air for $89, and 13-inch MacBook Air and MacBook Pro for at $99.
“The innovative sleeves combine eye-catching design with a surprisingly supple feel, successfully creating a protective sleeve like no other,” said Joe Mansfield, Grovemade’s co-founder. “The almost leather-like feel of the wood coupled with the German wool is unlike any other wood product we’ve seen, adding an exquisite and premium product to our line.”
