Ground Zero Returns To U.S. With Focus On SPLs

Laguna Hills, Calif. – German Maestro, which entered the U.S. car audio aftermarket about two years ago, has begun distributing Ground Zero subwoofers, speakers and amplifiers targeted to the high sound pressure level (SPL) crowd.

Ground Zero products, manufactured by a German company, are returning to the U.S. after exiting the country in the 1990s.

German Maestro, which sells its own brand of speakers and amps, will bring Ground Zero to market via reps and direct sales to retailers in the same way that it brings its own products to market, said German Maestro USA president Ray Windsor.

The lineup consists of 27 SKUs, including two-way and three-way component speakers priced from $1,299 to $2,499. The line also includes: two-way component/coaxial speakers, priced from $399 to $699; shallow-mount two-way component speakers from $399 to $449; subwoofers priced from $249 to $549; a $799 4×75-watt Class AB amp, and a $999 1,000-watt mono Class D amp.
