Grom Adds OEM-Radio Control Of Android Music

Belmont, Calif. –
OEM stereo and infotainment systems will be able to select music stored on a
USB-connected Android smartphone or tablet by playlist, artist and album thanks
to a new Android app developed by OEM-integration supplier Grom Audio.

The free AALinQ
app, available in the Google Play store, is designed for use with the company’s
$129 GROM-USB2 and $399 GROM-MST3 integration modules, which add USB port, stereo
and hands-free Bluetooth via an optional Bluetooth dongle, and auxiliary input
to factory sound systems. The adapters feature MP3, WMA, AAC and OGG decoders
to play back music from the Android phone and from USB sticks.

The adapters,
which also charge the Android devices,  support vehicles from such automakers as Toyota,
Ford, GM, Honda, Mazda, Volvo, Mercedes and others. Users can also use the app
to control song selection from the app itself.
