Griffin Adds to iTrip Line

Nashville, Tenn. — Griffin Technology introduced an addition to its line of iTrip FM transmitters.

The iTrip Universal is designed to be compatible with most portable audio players. The company said it is the first iTrip to feature a rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

It’s said to enable audio to be played through an FM stereo using any portable audio source that uses a 3.5mm headphone jack. Audio players that can be used with the device include the iPod, Sansa, Zune and portable CD players, among others.

The iTrip Universal’s internal battery can be recharged through any USB port, said Griffin, and it then connects to the player with the included stereo audio cable. Features include three user-programmable presets and user-selectable stereo/mono output modes.

It is currently available for a $39.99 suggest
