Torrance, Calif. — Tokyo design house Grapht has extended its line of officially licensed Keith Haring device cases, adding two new iconic images from the late American pop artist.
Haring's "Dog" and "Andy Mouse" images will now appear on a variety of cases for the iPhone 5s, 5c and the iPad Air, joining the company's current lines adorned with Haring works "Heart," "People," "Face" and "Chaos."
Several constructions are available including Bezel cases with interchangeable colored bezel rings and included Haring-adorned ear buds, silicon shells in eight color combinations, black and yellow laser-engraved and embossed cases that glow in the dark, polyurethane flip covers, brightly colored laser-etched silicon cases, rubber etched see-through sleeves and hard polycarbonate shells.
Haring painted "Dog" in 1980 and it became, along with "Radiant Baby," a recognized symbol of Haring's studio.
"Andy Mouse" was introduced in 1985 by Haring as a tribute to his friend and mentor Andy Warhol, whom he had met a year earlier. The two shared a mutual admiration for Walt Disney, so Haring mashed up Warhol with Mickey Mouse as the subject of the painting.
Retails range from $19.99 to $39.99, and the cases are available now at Amazon.com.
