San Diego –
introduced a combination
waterproof case and set of ear buds on Thursday.
The Eco Pod ($49.99) is
said to be 100 percent waterproof, sand-proof and shock-proof (IPX7 approved).
The case is constructed of polycarbonate and is large enough to carry an iPhone
or other similarly sized mobile device. Users can also fit credit cards, cash
and keys in there.
The included waterproof
ear buds have 8mm neodymium drivers and come with elastomer earplugs in three
sizes. They can be submerged in water to three meters for 30 minutes.
The clear front panel of
the Eco Pod allows viewing of the mobile device, although touchscreens will not
be useable. A 2-inch carabineer clip is included, and the company said its
pressure-release valve ensure the case is air-tight and can be opened at low or
high altitudes.
