Boston – The chief executives of the Gordon Brothers Group, the advisory, lending, investment and liquidation firm based here, which holds the rights to the Polaroid brand, issued an open letter of thanks to those who should their support in the wake of the recent Boston Marathon Bombing tragedy.

Gordon Brothers CEO Michael G. Frieze; president Kenneth S. Frieze COO Robert L. Paglia issued the following statement Thursday:

“Friends and partners,

“Over the past few weeks, we have experienced tragedy as well as heroism throughout our community.  We are incredibly touched by your concern for all of us here at Gordon Brothers Group in the wake of the devastating Marathon bombings.  With our Boston headquarters only steps from the finish line, we are thankful that all of our employees and families are safe and accounted for.

“The Boston Marathon and Gordon Brothers Group are deeply rooted in this city with both of our histories going back more than 110 years.  It’s with that backdrop that we are so moved by the outpouring of support for our city of Boston.

“In an effort to support those that have been affected by this tragedy, Gordon Brothers Group is making a $25,000 donation to The One Fund Boston.  The fund has been set up by the Massachusetts Governor and Boston Mayor to support those families most affected by the tragedy that unfolded on Marathon Monday and the ensuing events.  If you are also looking to support the recovery efforts here in Boston, I encourage you to consider making a contribution to this fund.  More information can be found at www.onefundboston.org.

“Please keep the families impacted by these events in your thoughts and prayers.”
