Google Enters e-Book Fray: Reuters

Frankfurt, Germany
– Google plans to launch an online e-bookstore called Google Editions to deliver
e-books to any device with a Web browser, creating more competition in the
burgeoning e-reader market, said Reuters.

Google will
initially offer about a half million e-book books, it reportedly announced at
the Frankfurt Book Fair. Consumers will be able to buy the e-books directly
from Google or through other online stores, including Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com,
said the report.
