Washington — XM Satellite Radio said General Motors plans to build over 1.8 million vehicles with factory-installed XM radios in 2007.
For 2006, GM shipped 1.5 million vehicles with XM, and it offers the feature on 50 car models. In August of this year, GM also lowered the price of a factory-installed XM radio option to $199 from $329.
The announcement follows news last month that American Honda Motors will install XM in more than 650,000 of its 2007 model year vehicles.
