Gladden To Replace Carty As Dell CFO

Round Rock, Texas —Brian Gladden will succeed Don Carty, vice chairman and chief financial officer, as senior VP and chief financial officer of Dell, effective June 13.

Carty has resigned, also effective June 13, but will remain a member of the board of directors.

In his new position, Gladden will report to CEO Michael Dell and will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s finance function, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, audit and investor relations.

Prior to joining Dell, Gladden was president and CEO of SABIC Innovative Plastic Holdings BV, formerly GE Plastics. Gladden’s experience also includes a number of leadership roles within General Electric, including VP and general manger of GE Plastics’ resin business, chief financial officer of GE Plastics, and VP and chief financial officer of GE Medical Systems Healthcare IT business. He was also named a GE corporate officer in 2002 and had formerly served on GE’s corporate audit staff for five years.
