San Romon, Calif. — Digital frame marketer GiiNii is shipping a new 8-inch model to dealers this month.
The 8-inch Ultra Thin digital picture frame measures 0.78 inches thick and features an 800 by 600 resolution screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
It offers 128MB of internal memory (upgradeable to 512MB for select dealers), programmable on/off mode with a light sensor, a six-in-one memory card reader, automatic photo rotation and the ability to view multiple photos simultaneously. It also features a calendar and alarm clock function, internal speakers and includes a wooden matte for changing the décor.
In addition to JPEGs, the frame supports TIFF image files, AVI and MOV video files and MP3 and WMA audio files. It will retail for $120.
