General Imaging Adds 2GB Create Cameras

Gardena, Calif. –

General Imaging (GIC)

,
said beginning Sept. 15,

the company
will market a less-expensive addition to its Create by Jason Wu designer camera
line.

The camera, which is offered in multiple color options, is
available with 2GBs of built-in memory, in addition to easy to use
functionality and a retractable USB plug.

Previously, earlier versions of the series, which launched last
May, is available only with 4GBs of internal memory with suggested retail
prices ranging up to $180.

The 2GB Create cameras ($130 suggested retail) will be available
in both fine-grain leather and metal finishes, the company said.

“The response to launching the entire Create collection and what
we set out to accomplish has been incredible,” said Paul Meyhoefer, GIC
marketing and product planning VP. “The idea of simplicity and ease of use are
at the core of Create and was based on our intense consumer research. Create is
more than just a stylish camera with designer accessories. It puts technology
back into perspective and solves many of today’s consumer phobias about using
over-complicated cameras.”
