GE Picks Posthauer For Top Sales Post

LOUISVILLE, KY. – GE Appliances has appointed Rob Posthauer general sales manager with responsibility for all sales activities within the retail and contract channels.

He succeeds Mike McDermott, who left in September to head Lowe’s building and maintenance businesses.

Posthauer, a former Maytag manager, joined GE in 2004 and most recently served as general manager of GE’s Home Depot business, earning a Vendor of the Year award from the home improvement chain in 2012.

GE said it would name Posthauer’s successor in the near future.

In his new role, he will lead the sales team and report directly to GE Appliances president/CEO Chip Blankenship.

“Rob’s deep industry knowledge and strong customer relationships will help us grow our business,” Blankenship said. “He has a strong team and we have leadership products. We are well-positioned to win in this competitive marketplace.”
