Irvine, Calif. – Gateway today upgraded its high-end FX510 gaming line to include Intel’s Core 2 Duo processors.
The Core 2 Duo is about 40 percent faster and much more energy efficient then Intel’s Pentium D, Gateway said, adding it will shortly incorporate the Core 2 Duo into its business desktops and notebooks and consumer notebook lines. The FX510 was introduced earlier this year and incorporates a BTX chassis and an ATI RADEON x1900 Crossfire Edition Graphics.
The FX510 is only available direct from Gateway. Pricing depends upon configuration.
