San Diego – Gateway today named Roderick Sherwood chief financial officer replacing Joseph Burke who was named senior vice president of business development.
Sherwood will assume his post on Oct.1 and take over control of Gateway’s financial management, planning and investor relations. Sherwood is moving over from served as executive vice president for software maker Loudcloud, previously he worked at Hughes/DIRECTV and Chrysler.
Burke, who oversaw the creation and expansion of Gateway’s Country Store chain, gave up the CFO slot in order to move back to the East Coast to be near his family, said Gateway CEO Ted Waitt.
