Poway, Calif. – Gateway today continued its plunge into the CE world with the introduction of two LCD televisions.
With screen sizes of 30 inches and 13 inches, the new modles fill out the top and bottom of Gateway’s five-unit LCD line up. The 30-inch model carries a retail price of $2,999, while the smaller TV is $399. Both are now available through the company’s Country Store outlets and online.
The 30-inch has an integrated NTSC tuner 16 by 9 aspect ratio with 1280 by 1024 screen resolution and a 450-nit brightness rating, HDTV signal compatibility through DVI, VGA or HD component video, and a built in amplifier with optional stereo speakers. A PIP function is available when the display is used as a PC monitor.
The 13-inch display has 64- by 480 resolution, integrated NTSC tuner, S-Video, Composite video and audio inputs, PIP when used with a PC and a built-in amplifier and speakers.
