West Chester, Penn. — QVC said the Garmin Nuvi 250W, on sale as a special value item, sold more than 51,000 units in one day.
The Nuvi 250W was offered on Oct. 6 as the QVC Today’s Special Value, where one item at an exceptionally low price is featured for the day until midnight, unless it sells out sooner. The Nuvi 250W sold out by 4 p.m., four hours after the sale started.
The Nuvi 250W is a personal navigation device with a 4.3-inch screen that typically carries a suggested retail of $535 and is currently listed on QVC at $499. QVC would not reveal the Today’s Special Value price on the Nuvi.
