Valhalla, N.Y. — Fujifilm North America will be adding a Mini 8 series to its Instax instant film cameras beginning in early 2013.
The new Mini 8 models will continue to provide what Fuji describes as a “user-friendly control functions, fun style, and high image quality while adding up to five different and colors: pink, blue, yellow, white and black.”
New features and enhancements in the series include slightly slimmer body designs, an improved viewfinder and an automatic exposure measurement system that recommends aperture settings, the company said.
A new high-key mode enables users to take brighter photos for better portrait work.
The cameras produce instant credit-card-sized photo prints that can be passed around, viewed and shared on the spot.
The cameras have a wide range of fun lifestyle applications, including weddings, parties, high school proms and everyday scenes.
Launch details and pricing will follow later, the company said.
