GE Q2 CE Segment Sales Rise 2%
Fairfield, Conn. — Sales in the consumer and industrial segment at GE edged upward 2 percent in the second quarter, hitting $3.6 billion, compared with a year-ago $3.5 billion.

Stockholm, Sweden — Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson, enjoying the benefits of its new products lineup, recorded a 7 percent rise in second-quarter sales, reaching $2 billion, compared with $1.8 billion in the year-ago period.

Audiovox Q2 CE Sales Double

Hauppauge, N.Y. — Higher sales of LCD flat-panel televisions helped fiscal second-quarter sales at the consumer electronics segment of Audiovox more than double, climbing 103 percent to $51.6 million from a year-ago $25.4 million.

LG.Philips LCD Q2 Sales Slip 1%, Net Drops 94%

Seoul, South Korea — Although second quarter sales edged downward 1 percent at LG.Philips LCD, net income in the same three months plunged 94 percent, as TFT-LCD panel sales suffered from lower prices and an oversupply.
