GE Majap Segment Earnings, Sales Rise

Samsung Q1 CE Segment Sales Drop 23%
Seoul, South Korea — Restructuring efforts resulting in reduced emphasis on low- to mid-end product lines pushed sales down 23 percent in the digital media segment, namely consumer electronics, at Samsung Electronics.
Hauppauge, N.Y. — Despite posting lower-than-expected margin and profit during its fiscal first quarter — as well as a slide in sales — Audiovox’s executives remain confident about growth during the remainder of the year.
