Long Beach, Calif. — Epson this week unveiled a 3.5-pound 3LCD projector with 2,700 lumens of brightness and XGA resolution, designed for the mobile professional market.
The EX100 carries a $999 estimated street price and is available at national retail locations including OfficeMax, the company said. It includes Epson’s two-year warranty.
Features include a high-aperture, 3-Chip 3LCD optical engine, carrying case and component video adapter.
The unit will support high-definition video through inputs including component video (via an included VGA-to-component video adapter).
It also includes instant on and instant off capability without a cool-down period; simple set-up and positioning via 1.2x power zoom lens; A/V mute slide that instantly turns off the sound and images to create a quick pause in the presentation, conserving lamp life and energy; and a “Presenter View” function that allows users to project a PowerPoint slide on the screen in “slideshow” mode, while simultaneously viewing presentation notes and operating buttons on the monitor.
The EX100 is equipped with an E-TORL lamp, password protection and Kensington lock bar to guard against theft.
